Bitcoin Stays Below $76,000 as Fed Decision Looms

0637 GMT - Bitcoin stays weak as markets weigh regulatory uncertainty and the Federal Reserve's coming interest-rate decision. The digital asset Clarity Act's failure to clear a Senate vote disappointed hopes for clearer regulation that would encourage institutional participation. That adds pressure to an already fragile crypto market, says Naeem Aslam of Zaye Capital Markets. The next catalyst is the Fed. If it hikes but signals limited further tightening, Treasury yields and the dollar could ease, improving the crypto climate. Signs of a sustained tightening cycle meanwhile would keep crypto competing with real yields for capital. Bitcoin is last flat at $75,873. Aslam says that holding at $75,000-$76,000 despite 5% Treasury yields and the legislative setback signals underlying demand. However, a stronger recovery will require either clearer regulation, softer financial conditions, or both, he adds.
