1256 GMT - The Bank of England announced a plan to stop selling gilts with maturities over 2049, alongside its decision to keep interest rates unchanged at Thursday's policy meeting. This move could relieve pressure on the long-dated gilt yields, Aberdeen Investments' Matthew Amis says in a note. U.K. 30-year gilt yields rose to 5.960% this week, the highest since 1998, LSEG data showed. Following the BOE decision, the 30-year gilt yields fall more than 10 basis points to hit a three-week low of around 5.731%, from 5.839% beforehand, Tradeweb data show.
