Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) plans to invest as much as $600 million in India-based ACME Cleantech Ventures to advance its green ammonia and green methanol projects, several media outlets reported Thursday.
ACME said the financing will bolster its advanced pipeline of projects in India and Oman amid a push to expand production of green ammonia and other low-carbon fuels for local and export markets, according to Reuters.
The investment will be made through the alternative asset manager's Brookfield Global Transition Fund, Reuters said.
Brookfield and ACME did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
