Insurance Australia Group (ASX:IAG) is set to begin a competitive tender process for external audit services, with KPMG excluded from participating after serving as the company's external auditor since its ASX listing in 2000, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The company said the decision to conduct a tender reflects the board's consideration of auditor tenure, with the tender process to be run during fiscal 2027 and shareholders to be asked to approve the appointment of the successful audit firm in due course.
