Nvidia (NVDA) partner GMI Cloud is seeking a $300 million loan to procure semiconductors for its site in Thailand, Bloomberg News reported late Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The US-based data center operator approached commercial banks and private credit entities for the prospective transaction, which is anticipated to generate low-teen yields, according to the media outlet.
Capital from the self-arranged financing will be used to purchase equipment for the company's infrastructure housed within an STT GDC compound, with Tencent Holdings designated as the primary end user, the news organization added.
GMI Cloud, Tencent Holdings, and STT GDC did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
