Potash Stocks Fall as Trump Posts of Possible Belarus Deal

Shares of potash companies fell after President Trump said the U.S. is nearing a deal to purchase the fertilizer product from Belarus.

Nutrien's stock slid 4.1% to $73.97. Shares of Mosaic fell 2.9% to $23.77. Intrepid Potash shares were down 2.2% at $36.70.

"The United States is working on a massive Deal with respect to the purchase of Potash from Belarus," Trump posted to his social media platform, Truth Social, on Monday morning. "The pricing would be for substantially less than we are currently paying to Canada, very good news for our Farmers and Ranchers."
