The Asian Development Bank raised its economic growth estimate for Malaysia in 2026, but kept its inflation forecast unchanged.

In its Asian ​Development Outlook update published Wednesday, the ADB expects the country's economy to grow at 4.9% in 2026, up from its July forecast of 4.6%.

For 2027, the real GDP growth estimate was also raised to 4.7%, up from the 4.5% predicted in July.

The ADB expects inflation in Malaysia to remain at 2.0% in 2026, up from 1.4% in 2025, and unchanged from its July projection.
