0133 GMT - Asian currencies consolidate against the dollar. Crude oil prices are weakening amid a de-escalation of Middle East tensions and optimism that oil supplies from Saudi Arabia through the Red Sea could be restored within days, says Samer Hasn of XS.com in a note. Declining oil prices typically benefit these currencies as many countries in Asia are net oil importers. The dollar is 0.1% higher at 157.58 yen but 0.25% lower at 1,350.60 won, while the Australian dollar is flat at US$0.7110, LSEG data show.
