President Trump didn't say anything new about AI in his speech in front of the United Nations general assembly, but he did test run a rebrand. He said the U.S. would refer to artificial intelligence as "super intelligence" or "SI" in documents, and urged other countries to do the same.

"The use of the world 'artificial' makes intelligence sound fake and it is not fake," Trump said. "It's actually amazing."

Ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's Washington state visit Thursday, the U.S. president once again pushed back against slowing down AI development. "We're leading now over China by a lot, and we're going to keep it that way," Trump said. "I'm not going to stifle growth of something that will be bigger than the industrial revolution or the internet itself."
