LG Uplus (KRX:032640) signed a memorandum of understanding with wholesale and retail distributor Sodomall for the development of customized AI transformation (AX) solutions for small business owners, according to a Tuesday release by LG Uplus.

Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate on providing in-store AI and communication solutions, expanding sales channels for small businesses, and identifying new business opportunities to revamp local commercial districts, the release said.

LG Uplus plans to combine its telecommunications and AI infrastructure with Sodomall's online and offline distribution data to provide customized product demand forecasts for individual businesses, it said.

Shares of LG Uplus rose nearly 1% at market close.
