Shares of Evolution Metals & Technologies rose in pre-market trading after the company was added to the Russell 3000 and Russell 2000 indexes.
Shares were up 5.2% to $4.23, after closing Friday's session at $4.02. Through the close, the stock had fallen 81% this year.
The inclusion of the critical minerals and manufacturing company in the indexes will be effective on Monday when the markets open, the company said.
"Constituent status in two of the most widely followed U.S. equity benchmarks puts EM&T directly in front of the institutional capital that indexes to them, and it comes as the market moves to meet the critical defense sourcing requirements taking effect under DFARS on Jan. 1, 2027," said Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer Christopher Clower.
