Gamuda (KLSE:GAMUDA) unit Gamuda Engineering secured an AU$790 million EPC contract for the Mortlake Energy Hub (Stage 1), according to a Monday filing.
The project is a 300 megawatt hybrid renewable energy facility comprising 435 megawatt-power of solar generation and a 1,449 megawatt-hour battery energy storage system, connecting to the existing 500 kilovolt network via the Mortlake Terminal Station.
The EPC scope covers design, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning, with the contract running for two years until January 2029.
Enabling works will start Sept. 29, while the project's notice to proceed depends on financial close, expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, the filing said.
