Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) said its unit Blackstone Minerals received approval from Utah's School and Institutional Trust Land Administration for an additional 17 blocks as one lease area at its Green River lithium project in Utah, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said the new tenure covers 16.02 square kilometers of highly prospective lithium-rich brines, representing a potential 18.4% increase in the project's land parcel, with all blocks located within the JORC resource area of interest and to be included in the next resource estimate update.

The company expects to achieve its JORC resource goal without further exploration drilling.
