Ant Group's Robbyant has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy to deploy and commercialize robotic and embodied AI technologies in the Middle East.
The embodied-artificial-intelligence company said Tuesday that the partnership will support the rollout of its embodied AI technologies, models and robotic solutions in the United Arab Emirates and other Middle East markets.
The agreement also calls for adapting Robbyant's technologies for Arabic language interaction and regional operating environments, as well as exploring collaboration on physical AI data and model training in the region, the Chinese company said.
Robbyant develops foundation models and software as well as hardware technologies for robots, while the Arab Federation for Digital Economy was founded in 2018 under the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States.
The Middle East partnership comes as technology companies and governments in the region increase investment in AI and robotics, with the U.A.E. seeking to develop the country as a hub for advanced technologies.
