China's Official Manufacturing PMI Rebounds in September

Factory activity in China recovered in September, with the official manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) coming in at 50.1, versus 49.8 the previous month, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics released on Wednesday.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a figure below signals a contraction.

The latest print matched the consensus forecast of 50.1 tracked by Investing.com.

By enterprise size, the PMI for large-sized enterprises remained unchanged from August at 50.6, while the indices for medium and small-sized enterprises edged up to 49.7 and 48.9, respectively.

Among the main sub-indices, the new orders index slipped to 50.5 from 50.6, the inventory index rose to 48.2 from 48.1, the employment index edged down to 48.4 from 48.7, while the supplier delivery time index came in at 50.1, unchanged from August.
