Multifield International Holdings (HKG:0898) said its indirect subsidiary, Ernesto Investments, sold 440,000 China Merchants Bank (HKG:3968, SHA:600036) shares on the open market for about HK$22.5 million, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

The sale brings the total number of China Merchants Bank shares disposed of by Ernesto in September to 800,000, for aggregate proceeds of about HK$41 million.

Multifield no longer holds any shares in China Merchants Bank following the latest disposal.

The proceeds will be used as general working capital, the filing said.
