Pembina Pipeline (PBA) said Thursday that Canada has listed the West Coast Oil Pipeline, now called Pacific Link, as a Project of National Interest under the Building Canada Act, giving it a clearer and more predictable federal review process.

Pembina's economic interest through construction will be 10%, with the option to buy up to another 10% once the pipeline is operating, as previously disclosed, the company said.

The company said it retains full discretion over any final investment decision with respect to its interest.
