Nyrada (ASX:NYR) secured a US composition-of-matter patent for Xolatryp, strengthening intellectual property protection for the drug candidate's chemical structure against unauthorized manufacture, use, sale, or import, according to an Australian bourse filing on Wednesday after market hours.
Xolatryp is being developed to protect the heart tissue from damage.
The patent has a 20-year term from its September 2024 filing date and is part of the company's broader global patent strategy, with applications planned in key markets, including Australia, Europe, and Japan, the filing added.
