LG Electronics (KRX:066570) will invest 150 billion won to expand chiller production in the U.S. and South Korea to meet rising demand from data centers, according to a Thursday company release.
The company said it will build a 30,000‑square‑meter air‑cooled chiller plant in Windsor, Virginia, with production set to begin in the first half of 2027, and expand lines at its Pyeongtaek and Changwon facilities in South Korea.
The investments will boost LG's capacity for air‑cooled chillers used in data centers, particularly in North America, where the company said more than half of the world's AI data centers are located.
