Marimaca Copper (ASX:MC2) secured approval of its grid connection application to connect to the El Lince Line to advance its Marimaca oxide deposit in Chile, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company also signed a preliminary power purchase agreement framework with a Chilean energy provider to supply the deposit with renewable energy sourced from the national grid, the filing said.
Early works on the site are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of the year, per the filing.
