Manycore Tech (HKG:0068) proposed adopting a new Chinese name and stock short name, saying the change would better align with its corporate identity and business strategy.

The China-based cloud-native spatial design software provider's English name, Manycore Tech, will remain unchanged, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The proposed name change is subject to shareholder approval at an extraordinary general meeting and approval from the Registrar of Companies in the Cayman Islands.

Shares of the company fell over 3% in recent trade.
