Yum China Holdings (YUMC) plans to expand Lavazza's presence in Hong Kong to about 10 stores in the coming months, doubling its current footprint, the company said Friday.
The Italian coffee brand recently opened its fifth Hong Kong location at Cheung Kong Center II, and its stores are concentrated in office towers and shopping areas in Central and Causeway Bay, Yum China said.
Lavazza has also introduced its signature Buffalo Milk Latte across its Hong Kong locations, it said. The company said it plans to bring back its Bicerin drink series and launch a Liquid Tiramisu beverage in the coming months.
Yum China operates Lavazza through a joint venture established with the Italian coffee company in 2020. Yum China in 2021 disclosed that it holds a 65% stake in the Yum China-Lavazza joint venture.
The partnership had 146 Lavazza coffee shops in mainland China and Hong Kong as of Dec. 31, 2025, and is targeting 1,000 stores by 2029, according to Yum China's 2025 annual report.
