1758 ET - Amazon.com Chief Executive Andy Jassy says he thinks AWS could be generating $1 trillion a year in revenue within the next five to 10 years. Amazon has good visibility into the next two to three years about how much AI computing capacity customers will want, Jassy says. Based on the projected growth rates for the next couple years, Jassy says he came up with the $1 trillion estimate, a threshold that has never been reached by a company. Jassy doesn't think capacity demand will drop off at all in the future, and thinks that enterprise companies are still early in using inference to produce applications.
