Proto Labs (PRLB) said Tuesday it raised its HP Jet Fusion 5600 series 3D printing capacity by 50% to meet increasing demand from aerospace, defense and drone companies.

The greater capacity, combined with speed and quality, is expected to accelerate product development timelines, the company said.

Proto Labs said its multi jet fusion printing revenue from its US factories rose more than 40% year on year through Q3.

Shares of the company were up 1.3% in early Tuesday trading.
