据Redfin数据显示，7月份季节性城镇（即度假需求推动房地产市场的城镇）的房屋销售量同比下降3%，而非季节性城镇的降幅为1%。在季节性城镇，房屋销售量自2月份以来一直呈现同比下降趋势。在美国所有房屋销售中，约有9%发生在季节性城镇。
度假目的地的销售下降速度更快，因为这些房产往往是第二套住房或投资性房产，当购房承受能力紧张时，这类房产通常是首先被削减的。Redfin表示，2024年美国第二套住房的抵押贷款降至至少六年来的最低水平。
虽然去年所有住房的需求都有所下降，但第二套住房的跌幅比主要住宅更大，因为它们价格更昂贵，不是必需品，而且经济前景不确定。
