The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closed higher on Monday (Nov. 3), with artificial intelligence-related deals driving much of the gains even as the Federal Reserve's near-term monetary policy grew increasingly foggy due to scarcity of official U.S. economic data.

Regarding the options market, a total volume of 51,715,870 contracts was traded on Monday.

A total number of 1.24 million options related to Amazon.com were traded on Monday, of which call options accounted for 67%. Particularly high volume was seen for the $260 strike call option expiring Nov. 7, with 78,415 contracts trading. NVIDIA stock climbs 2% on Monday as U.S. approves chip sale to the UAE under Microsoft deal.

Unusual Options Activity

Shares of Beyond Meat, Inc. fell 16% Monday after the company delayed its third-quarter financial results.

The plant-based meat maker will now report earnings after the market closes on Nov. 11. Beyond Meat said it delayed its results because it needs more time to calculate a material noncash impairment charge related to certain long-lived assets.

A total number of 520.61K options related to Beyond Meat, Inc. were traded on Monday, of which call options accounted for 56%. Particularly high volume was seen for the $1 strike put option expiring Nov. 7, with 61,070 contracts trading. $BYND 20251107 1.0 PUT$
