CHINA LIT (00772) saw its shares rise more than 9% during the morning session. At the time of writing, the stock was up 8.19%, trading at HK$37.24 with a turnover of HK$74.8089 million.

The surge follows recent news that ByteDance has launched its Seedance2.0 video generation model on the Jiemeng platform, drawing widespread evaluation and discussion within the AI industry. The model has delivered impressive results in tests, supporting input from text, images, video, and audio to generate video content. It has achieved breakthroughs in several key capabilities, including autonomous and segmented camera movement, comprehensive multimodal reasoning, synchronized audio-visual generation, and multi-shot narrative ability.

Kaiyuan Securities suggested this could represent a "singularity" moment for AI in film and television, with potential for widespread application in short-form content such as AI-generated comic series and short dramas. This is expected to significantly reduce production costs, improve efficiency, and boost output capacity. Companies with strong IP reserves and platform traffic advantages are likely to benefit substantially.

China Merchants Securities previously commented that, based on the research framework of the AI video industry, CHINA LIT stands to gain the most. The firm expressed strong confidence in CHINA LIT's development opportunities amid the wave of AI application.

Everbright Securities also noted that CHINA LIT is a rare leading company with a full industrial chain in IP. Its online literature business remains stable while continuously incubating new IP. Benefiting from strong performance in new businesses such as short dramas and IP derivatives, as well as future efforts to expand AI comic series operations, the company's proprietary profit margin is expected to continue improving.
