Tuoshi Zhihong announced the completion of a Pre-A round financing exceeding $450 million, setting a new record for the largest single funding round in China's embodied intelligence sector. This round was jointly led by Hillhouse Capital and Sequoia China, with participation from notable financial funds including Meituan Longzhu, CICC Capital, Kailing Capital, Oriental Fortune Capital, and Junshan Investment.
At the industrial investor level, additional investments came from TCL Capital, Futeng Capital, Shoucheng Holdings, Jianfa Emerging Investment, Hengxu Capital, and Guoqi Investment. Furthermore, state-owned capital entities such as the Beijing Robotics Industry Development Investment Fund and Shanghai Guotou Xiandao made their first joint capital contributions.
It is noteworthy that this marks the second time Tuoshi Zhihong has broken industry funding records. In the second quarter of 2025, the company completed the largest angel funding round in the history of China's embodied intelligence sector, raising $242 million. One year later, Tuoshi Zhihong has now set new benchmarks with this $455 million Pre-A round, establishing it as the largest Pre-A funding and the biggest single funding round in the industry's history.
Li Zhenyu, Chairman of Tuoshi Zhihong, stated, "This round of financing will be used to accelerate the development of the general embodied large model AWE and continue to attract top-tier talent in the industry. The next funding round will focus on creating robots that are truly functional and capable of mass production. The company will actively participate in global competition, positioning China's embodied intelligence on the world stage."
