The Yangpu Embodied Intelligence Industry Expert Service Station, named "Tongxin Hui," was officially inaugurated on Fuxing Island yesterday. This marks Shanghai's first specialized service platform for non-Communist Party experts focusing on the field of embodied intelligence. Operating under the guidance of the Shanghai Intellectuals Association and coordinated by the Yangpu United Front Work Department, the station will be managed by a relevant platform company on Fuxing Island. It aims to bring together industry and technical experts from across the city in this specialized sector. Aligned with Yangpu District's development strategy of "compact space with high added-value" for the embodied intelligence industry, the platform will provide services such as demand matching, results transformation, and scenario empowerment. It seeks to establish a support platform that pools intellectual resources and fosters collaborative innovation, building a cooperative ecosystem where scientific experts and industries integrate deeply to support the high-quality development of Yangpu's embodied intelligence sector.
During the "Fuxing Island Future City: Scientists and Entrepreneurs Co-creation Conference" held yesterday, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs gathered on Fuxing Island to unite the wisdom and strength of the united front. Focusing on scenario innovation and cross-boundary collaboration, the event featured various formats including keynote speeches and co-creation matchmaking sessions, offering suggestions for transforming Fuxing Island into a "Global Maker Island" and a future city experimental zone. Zhu Hehua, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, shared a "blueprint" for future smart city construction, emphasizing moving beyond "technology spinning its wheels." Chen Heng, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Shanghai Normal University, proposed establishing a borderless, relaxed, and future-oriented university on Fuxing Island tailored to industrial transformation, turning the precious island into a "special knowledge zone." Representatives from companies such as Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, Tencent Research Institute, and Qianxun SI shared practical pathways for technological empowerment in urban transformation, focusing on cutting-edge areas like digital twins, zero-carbon construction, and spatiotemporal intelligence.
In the "World Café" co-creation session, over 40 participants engaged in in-depth discussions on five themes, including "Imagining the Future City" and "Building Co-creation Mechanisms," generating a range of actionable innovative ideas and cooperative intentions. The event was organized by the Yangpu Middle-aged and Young Intellectuals Association, Fuxing Island Maker Academy, and Yangpu Binjiang Group, aiming to establish a regular communication and collaboration platform through a model of "united front cohesion, expert empowerment, enterprise participation, and multi-party coordination." Moving forward, the Yangpu united front will use this event and the expert service station as a link to deepen industry-academia-research-application collaborative innovation, promoting the implementation of more innovative achievements on Fuxing Island and injecting sustained momentum into the development of the "Global Maker Island."
