NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced during the GTC conference that the company has entered into a partnership with Uber to expand the global L4 autonomous mobility network. The collaboration will leverage NVIDIA's autonomous driving platform, NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Hyperion 10, the NVIDIA DRIVE AV software designed for L4 autonomy, and the NVIDIA Cosmos world foundation model development platform to accelerate Uber's autonomous driving ecosystem expansion.
NVIDIA will support Uber in gradually scaling its global fleet of autonomous taxis and delivery vehicles starting in 2027, targeting a fleet size of 100,000 units. Additionally, NVIDIA and Uber are jointly developing a data factory powered by the NVIDIA Cosmos platform to streamline the collection and processing of data essential for autonomous vehicle development.
