XD INC (02400) saw its shares rise nearly 5% in late trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 4.1%, trading at HK$81.3, with a turnover of HK$478 million. The increase follows the recent launch of "Taptap Maker," a product developed by the company's Taptap platform that enables game creation through natural language dialogue with AI.
Kaiyuan Securities noted in a research report that advancements in AI model tools could significantly lower the barriers to game development, allowing players to become creators. This shift is expected to enhance the personalization and diversity of game content, thereby increasing the value of traffic platforms and distribution channels. Changjiang Securities added that AI has the potential to reshape game development processes and build a new content ecosystem.
In addition, international version downloads of "XD Town" have exceeded expectations. Kaiyuan Securities commented that as a 3D social simulation game, rapid user growth in "XD Town" helps foster a more active content and social environment, improving player retention and laying the groundwork for increased revenue through future operational activities. The international version has announced a collaboration with the globally recognized IP "My Little Pony." Leveraging over a year of operational experience and content accumulation from the domestic version, the company is optimistic that upcoming events will drive substantial revenue growth for the international server.
