Shaanxi Farmland Area Sees Net Increase for Three Consecutive Years

Shaanxi Province has reported a net increase in its total farmland area for three consecutive years, according to a press conference held by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government Information Office on November 26. The event highlighted the agricultural and rural development achievements during the province's 14th Five-Year Plan period.

By the end of 2024, Shaanxi had cumulatively developed 24.68 million mu (approximately 1.65 million hectares) of high-standard farmland. Grain production exceeded 13.5 million tons, placing the province among the top ten in terms of output growth nationwide.

Additionally, Shaanxi leads the country in the production scale of three key agricultural products: apples, kiwifruit, and goat milk.
