据中国官方媒体证券时报报道，宁德时代位于江西宜春的锂矿项目预计很快将恢复生产。这一消息引发了市场对锂供应过剩的担忧，导致全球锂矿企业股价普遍下挫。除IGO集团外，澳洲其他锂矿企业如皮尔巴拉矿业（PLS.AX）和Liontown Resources（LTR.AX）股价也分别下跌16.7%和15.8%。
值得注意的是，此次利空消息不仅影响了澳洲市场，还波及全球锂矿股。美国最大的充电电池用锂生产商Albemarle Corp（ALB.N）和Sigma Lithium Corp（SGML.O）周二股价分别下跌11.5%和6.9%。与此同时，中国碳酸锂期货价格周三也出现超过7%的跌幅，创下一个多月以来的新低。分析人士指出，电动汽车需求增长低于预期，加之潜在的供应增加，使得锂行业面临更大的供需平衡压力。
