消息面上，玩具巨头孩之宝公布的第二季度财报表现强劲，营收和盈利均超出华尔街预期。受《万智牌》（Magic: The Gathering）卡牌业务持续增长推动，公司上调全年业绩展望，消息公布后股价一度上涨14%。
财报显示，孩之宝第二季度营收同比增长16%，达到11.4亿美元，高于分析师预期的10.7亿美元；调整后息税折旧摊销前利润（EBITDA）为3.304亿美元，也超过市场预期的2.973亿美元。
作为公司的核心增长引擎，《万智牌》本季度表现尤为亮眼，贡献营收5.453亿美元，同比增长32%。孩之宝首席执行官Chris Cocks表示，《万智牌》上市30多年来首次实现单季度营收突破5亿美元，显示该业务增长势头强劲。
与此同时，孩之宝也宣布，作为数字战略调整的一部分，公司将取消多个电子游戏项目，以优化资源配置并聚焦更具增长潜力的业务领域。公司表示，未来将继续围绕核心IP和高增长业务推进战略布局。
