Hong Kong Semiconductor Stocks Decline, ILUVATAR COREX Drops Over 6%

Semiconductor concept stocks in the Hong Kong market trended lower, with ILUVATAR COREX falling more than 6%. Innoscience and Becker Microelectronics each dropped over 4%, while OmniVision Technologies declined more than 3%. Shanghai Fudan Microelectronics Group, SMIC, and GigaDevice Semiconductor each saw decreases exceeding 2%.

A Goldman Sachs report indicated that spot prices for DRAM are showing a massive premium over contract prices (reaching up to 172% for DDR4), signaling that contract prices will be forced to rise significantly. Strong ongoing demand for AI servers, surging revenue from major manufacturers, and customer acceptance of more aggressive price hikes collectively suggest that the memory chip "super cycle" is accelerating.
