Recently, the highly anticipated National Alpine Skiing Championships concluded successfully at the Meilin Valley Ski Resort in Harqin Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. As the primary force responsible for communication support for the event, China Mobile's Inner Mongolia Company coordinated efforts across all dimensions and advanced its work with high standards, successfully completing the communication support mission for the games.
In the construction of the event's network, as the local branch, China Mobile's Chifeng Branch (hereinafter referred to as "Chifeng Mobile") took the lead in applying innovative 5G-A technology. By utilizing large-scale carrier aggregation (CA) to intelligently integrate multi-band resources, it achieved download speeds of up to 2Gbps, significantly enhancing peak network rates and system capacity. Furthermore, leveraging intelligent base station single boards enabled precise service identification and differentiated support, accurately meeting the high-bandwidth, low-latency demands of services such as media HD live streaming and real-time news backhaul, ensuring clear transmission picture quality and stable signals.
In key areas such as the competition venues and spectator gathering zones, through the precise deployment of next-generation Massive MIMO equipment and relying on beamforming technology, "crowd-directional" coverage was achieved. This substantially increased network capacity and user access experience while effectively reducing signal interference, comprehensively meeting the core support objectives of "high density, large bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability."
During the preliminary phase of network equipment expansion and adjustment, Chifeng Mobile focused on core points including the event command center, media broadcast area, and timing/scoring systems. It established high-quality internet dedicated lines, data dedicated lines, and voice dedicated lines, implementing a dual-route physical protection mechanism to ensure the transmission of critical services. Concurrently, a comprehensive inspection and reinforcement of potential risks in the transmission ring network was completed, over 30 new or optimized wireless cells were set up, one emergency communication vehicle was deployed, and a total of 11 dedicated lines were activated, providing full-process network support for core services such as event live streaming, real-time scoring, and security.
During the event, Chifeng Mobile formed a joint support team comprising key personnel from various specialties including network optimization, wireless maintenance, transmission support, power supply support, and customer response. A 7x24-hour on-site duty mechanism was implemented. Technical personnel were stationed at core equipment rooms and key base stations, conducting real-time monitoring and rapid response to ensure issues were detected and handled promptly, achieving round-the-clock, seamless network escort.
China Mobile's Inner Mongolia Company wove a communication support net with high-quality signals, illuminated sporting passion with intelligent technology, and demonstrated the commitment of a central state-owned enterprise through its warm-hearted service. Moving forward, China Mobile's Inner Mongolia Company will continue to empower the development of sports with digital and intelligent technologies, contributing more strength to the popularization and promotion of winter sports and the integrated upgrade of local culture and tourism.
