Toyota launched an updated version of its bZ4X electric vehicle in the Japanese domestic market on October 9th. The Z (FWD) variant achieves a maximum WLTC range of 746km, representing approximately a 30% increase over the previous model and ranking first among electric vehicles produced by Japanese domestic manufacturers.
The new bZ4X lineup includes three variants: Z (4WD), Z (FWD), and G (FWD). The entry-level G (FWD) model starts at 4.8 million yen (approximately 225,000 yuan at current exchange rates), which is reportedly 700,000 yen lower than comparable vehicles in the same class.
The updated bZ4X can complete 10% to 80% charging in as little as 28 minutes. The Z (FWD) variant's 0-100km/h acceleration time has been reduced to 5.1 seconds. The vehicle also features improvements to its suspension, shock absorbers, doors, and four-wheel control systems, enhancing driving comfort, noise reduction, and off-road capabilities.
