Recently, the Huaqiangbei area in Shenzhen launched the first trial operation project for "AI+ Unmanned Logistics Vehicles" in Futian District. As a technical supporter of this initiative, MINIEYE's Xiaozhu unmanned vehicle has officially begun operating in the Huaqiangbei streets. This marks a significant step for MINIEYE in the field of smart logistics, aiding Huaqiangbei in creating a new productivity scenario to address the challenges of dense logistics and congested roads in this core business district that handles over 1.5 million packages daily.
The trial project is guided by the Futian District Office of Artificial Intelligence Industry and is a collaboration between Huaqiangbei Street and Shenzhen Bus Group. The state-owned Shenzhen Bus Group is responsible for the primary technology and vehicle dispatch, while MINIEYE provides the autonomous driving technology support. Logistics companies such as Yunda and SF Express are participating in the scenario tests.
The project deploys intelligent unmanned logistics vehicles at key logistics parks such as Sanda Industrial Park, SEG Technology Park, and Huakang Building, utilizing a “fixed point and route, staggered frequency” model. This provides smart collection and delivery services for local logistics hubs, merchants, and residents, with three fixed shifts for package collection and delivery each day.
From a technical perspective, the Xiaozhu unmanned vehicle is equipped with proprietary software algorithms and features three LiDARs and eleven cameras, achieving full-scenario Level 4 autonomous driving. It is well-prepared to handle typical complex traffic situations in Huaqiangbei, such as vehicle merging, pedestrian crossings, and mixed traffic.
The Xiaozhu vehicle adheres to high standards, utilizing stringent testing processes for both the vehicle and its components during research and production phases, along with a 100% vehicle-grade intelligent driving system to ensure operational safety. Additionally, its cargo space has been adjusted to accommodate 400-700 standard packages at once, supporting multi-tasking for deliveries and reverse logistics, thus adapting to high-frequency logistics demands.
The deployment of the Xiaozhu vehicle is the culmination of MINIEYE's long-term technological developments. Western Securities recently initiated coverage of MINIEYE with a "buy" rating, noting that the company’s "L4 new business exceeds expectations." The research report highlights that, as a pioneer in the progressive development of intelligent driving in China, the company has achieved breakthroughs in core tracks such as ADAS, DMS, OMS, and vehicle-road collaboration, relying on its integrated capabilities in "algorithms + software + hardware."
In the intelligent driving domain, the company covers levels from L0 to L4. In its smart cockpit business, MINIEYE actively expands offerings based on DMS and OMS cockpit monitoring systems and has, for the first time, assisted OEMs in achieving compliance with EU GSR certification, forming a diversified intelligent solution system. Beyond logistics scenarios, MINIEYE has also achieved critical breakthroughs in the L4 unmanned minibus sector. In the first quarter of 2025, its first unmanned minibus service was commercially launched in Suzhou, with significant revenue surpassing 10 million yuan in the first half of the year.
Western Securities indicated that the L4 unmanned minibus business could become a significant growth driver for the company moving forward. The entry of MINIEYE’s Xiaozhu unmanned vehicle into Huaqiangbei not only serves as a practical validation of autonomous driving technology but also exemplifies the deep integration of artificial intelligence into daily urban life. With continuous deepening of government-enterprise collaboration and accelerated technological iterations, MINIEYE is driving the extension of autonomous driving from "singular logistics scenarios" to "integrated smart city services" through its integrated capabilities of "algorithms + software + hardware," empowering the development of new productivity.
