全美地产经纪商协会(NAR)表示，美国9月成屋签约销售指数从8月份的70.6上升至75.8，为3月份以来的最高水平，环比增幅为7.4%。9月份的环比增幅是自2020年6月（14.9%）以来的最大增幅，而全国销售率同比增长2.6%，是自2021年5月以来的最大增幅。
NAR首席经济学家Lawrence Yun表示，由于购房者利用了夏末较低的抵押贷款利率和更多的库存选择，全国所有地区的合同签约量都有所上升。如果经济继续增加就业，库存水平上升，抵押贷款利率保持稳定，预计会进一步上涨。不过，可以肯定的是，抵押贷款利率自去年9月以来一直在攀升。尽管如此，Yun表示，未来两年的房屋销售前景应该会变得明朗。
