Tosei Group announced the release of its FY 2024 ESG Report on Nov, 28 2024.
The report reaffirms the company’s long-term objective of achieving net-zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse-gas emissions by FY 2050 and a 50% reduction by FY 2030 against an FY 2022 baseline of 3,769 t-CO₂. FY 2024 Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions totalled 3,261 t-CO₂, 13.5% below the FY 2022 level.
Energy-use intensity fell to 0.031 kl per square metre in FY 2024, a 3% year-on-year decline. Water-withdrawal intensity was 1.96 m³ per square metre, while waste-discharge intensity decreased 15% from the FY 2022 base to 7.04 kg per square metre.
Tosei also reported that 3,011 MWh of electricity used in FY 2024 was sourced from renewables, representing 37% of total Scope 2 electricity consumption. The company’s environmental real-estate certification coverage reached 49% of applicable floor space, up from 42% a year earlier.
On governance, all four Audit & Supervisory Board members and three of nine directors are independent, with overall board attendance exceeding 95% during FY 2024.
No fines or penalties related to environmental or anti-corruption violations were recorded during the year.
