EV shares mixed in Hong Kong. XPeng up 4%; NIO up over 3%; BYD Company fell 2%.
Xpeng delivered 42,013 vehicles in October, marking its fourth consecutive month of record-breaking performance, according to data released today.
From January to October, Xpeng delivered 355,209 vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 190.02 percent.
NIO delivered a record 40,397 vehicles in October, marking a 92.59 percent year-on-year increase and a 16.25 percent rise from September.
From January to October, the electric vehicle (EV) maker delivered 241,618 vehicles, reflecting a 41.91 percent year-on-year growth.
The Onvo and Firefly sub-brands both achieved new highs, while the Nio main brand reversed its five-month streak of year-on-year declines.
BYD said on Saturday its October sales dropped 12% from the same month a year earlier to 441,706 vehicles.
BYD reported a nearly 33% drop in third-quarter profit on Thursday. Revenue was down 3% for the quarter, the first such decline in more than five years, reflecting increasing competition from domestic rivals.
