Xi'an Bright Laser Technologies (SHA:688333) will invest 1 billion yuan in a construction project for a production facility for powder additive manufacturing, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The Chinese manufacturer of metal 3D printers will establish a subsidiary to invest in the facility, the filing said.
The factory spans an area of 69,800 square meters. The project is equipped with an atomization powder-making system, argon circulation, powder post-processing, vacuum packaging, powder and testing equipment, among other instruments, the filing said.
Production capacity is seen to increase to 3,000 tons per year from 800 tons yearly.
Shares closed 4% higher during Tuesday's trading.
