Flagstar Financial Taps Lee Smith as Finance Chief

Flagstar Financial said that it named Lee Smith as its new finance chief, effective Dec. 27, to succeed Craig Gifford in the role.

The commercial bank on Friday said that with Gifford will remain with the lender through March 31 to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Smith, who currently serves as Flagstar Financial's president of mortgage, joined the firm in 2013 as operating chief.
