HMM (KRX:011200) is set to re-enter the transatlantic trade in February 2025 with its new Transatlantic 1 (TA1) service, connecting Northern Europe and the US West Coast, the company said in a Tuesday release.
This move marks the South Korean shipping firm's return to the transatlantic route after discontinuing the service in 2018.
Operating in collaboration with Ocean Network Express (ONE), TA1 will offer weekly sailings with a 10-week rotation, including ports such as Southampton, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Miami, and Los Angeles/Long Beach, the release said.
Shares of HMM fell 1% at market close on Tuesday.
