Ecarx Holdings (ECX) said Wednesday its hypervisor, part of the Cloudpeak software stack, has received the functional safety certification, Automotive Safety Integrity Level D, under the ISO 26262 standard.

This certifies the Ecarx's capabilities in automotive safety management. Hypervisor is the ability to run low-loss virtual machines on vehicles that are integrated with the Cloudpeak software.

This certification was awarded by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance and German Motor Vehicle Inspection Association, or DEKRA, Ecarx said.
