Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek registered two private units in Hong Kong, The Standard reported Friday.
The registration of DeepSeek Limited and DeepSeek (HK) Limited will help boost the city's fintech development, Terence Chong Tai-leung, executive director of the Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance at Chinese University reportedly said.
The company could even consider making Hong Kong a listing venue to help the city's initial public offering market, the report said, citing Chong.
