1247 GMT - Danone's cash generation means the debate among investors will move to how the company will use its cash, with mergers and acquisitions very much on the agenda, Barclays analysts say in a research note. Executives at The French food company signaled in a post-earnings call that they would prioritize acquisitions that improve its market share or strengthen its position in categories where it wants to expand. "It's no secret that Danone has been scoping out targets and making moves--recall most recently the bid for Lifeway's Kefir brand in the US..--and we suspect the priority will be bolt-on acquisitions but management will be open minded," the analysts say. Shares rise 1.2%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
