Wells Fargo Reports Termination of CFPB Consent Order Regarding Compliance Risk Management

Wells Fargo (WFC) said Monday that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's 2018 consent order related to the company's compliance risk management program has ended.

Chief Executive Charlie Scharf said the termination and closure of other consent orders "demonstrates that we have completed much of our common risk and control infrastructure work."

The CFPB did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares were 0.2% higher in recent premarket activity.
