China Southern Airlines (HKG:1055, SHA:600029) swung to an attributable loss of 747 million yuan in the first quarter from an attributable profit of 756 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The airline swung to a loss per share of 0.04 yuan from earnings per share of 0.04 yuan in the year-ago period.
Total revenue slipped to 43.4 billion yuan from 44.6 billion yuan in the prior-year period.
Shares slipped 2% during the close of trading in Hong Kong on Wednesday.
