美国总统川普的关税新政策不断变化，引发全球经济动荡，他更喊话要实现“iPhone美国制造”，也掀起各界热议。然而，川普这一目标遭到许多专家否定“这是不切实际的梦想”，更有分析师预测，若iPhone真的在美国生产，一支手机的价格恐怕高达3,500美元。

美国商务部长卢特尼克(Howard Lutnick)近日接受CNBC访问时，透露他跟苹果执行长库克(Tim Cook)就“iPhone美国制造”一事的讨论对话内容。

卢特尼克指出，库克认为“iPhone是否能在美国制造，关键在于机械手臂技术”。只要机械手臂能达到量产所需的精准度与规模，即商用标准，苹果就会将iPhone生产转移至美国。

库克不愿意雇用大量外籍工人，强调这样将增加公司管理与营运风险。他希望透过先进自动化技术，减少对人力的依赖，强化生产效率与稳定性。卢特尼克也补充，美国工人不会从事拧螺丝等基础组装工作，而是担任驱动工厂的重要角色，属于技术人员。
